confusion and doubt when they go through hard times, lose a loved one, or start awakening to the suffering in the world. We all need to know that Jesus sees our pain and knows what it means to suffer—that he is with us in those times too, even if we don&amp;#39;t always feel his presence. It&amp;#39;s not an easy thing to understand-as kids or adults. A children&amp;#39;s bible I have for my son has a very smiley Jesus in it...all the time. Along with your thoughts on race/color, I also wonder if I&amp;#39;m teaching my son that Jesus only had one emotion - happy! If we are to follow Jesus, then according to this children&amp;#39;s bible, we should be happy all the time. I know that is not true in the life of believers &amp;amp; I certainly don&amp;#39;t want to teach that to my child!
